1. Keep a close eye on sales and promotions

KEEP YOUR EYES PEALED FOR DEALS!  Always be on the look out for your favorite retailers having sales. When you’re looking for high-quality kitchen cabinets, flooring, countertops and other remodel essentials, pay attention to the calendar. Especially around the holidays are the best times these retailers will shell out the big sales.

2. Buy direct from the importer or manufacturer.

Buying RTA Cabinets directly through a manufacturer or importer may be the golden ticket to saving some money. Stores that done shell out thousands of dollars for fancy showrooms are the ones you want to look for since they have lower overhead.

3. Don’t get hung up on shiny ball sindrome

Altho you may want mahogany cabinets you might have a oak budget. Keep this in mind when shopping for kitchen cabinets. You can still design the heck out of your place on a small budget…just need to break out that creative hat in your closet.

4. Try RTA Cabinets – Ready to Assemble Cabinets

RTA cabinets are a DIY’ers dream. Average kitchen only costs around $2000 bucks and they are solid plywood construction

5. Cozy up with your contractor. You know what I meen 😉

If you insist on custom cabinets or having a professional do the installation, be sure to get in good with your contractor.FACT bit box stores have alot of overhead , hence they products will cost more.

6. Don’t reconfigure the plumbing or electric.

By only changing cosmetic items in your kitchen like paint or cabinets or flooring might cost you a few dollars. Its nothing compared to getting a licenced electrician or plumber in there to move the sink or add can lights.

7. Avoid buying “designer ” materials

Do you really need that paint that the designer on HGTV promotes or can you get by with something a little less expensive?

8. Accessories

Creating design and style to your kitchen is all about accessories. Take a creative tab out of your favorite designers book and look for cool lighting choices or color pallets.
